Hoosier Lacrosse Spring Programs
Hoosier Lacrosse is now offering several exciting spring programs for all levels.
Are you ready for the next level? Hoosier Lacrosse will be offering a fantastic opportunity for any player that wants to take their game to the next level! With our Box Lacrosse program, 5 field players and a goalie ,every participant is guaranteed to see a lot of action, get a great workout, and improve their stick skills. Each team will have a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 15 to ensure plenty of playing time for everyone.
Youth and High School Format: Short sticks only (except for Goalies) with 4' x 4' Box style goals. 15 minutes of Drills and a 40 minute game. Goalie equipment will be provided if requested.
Divisions: Grades 3-12. Players will be grouped by ability and grade. Players may play up or down a division with permission from the Hoosier Lacrosse Director.

Hoosier Lacrosse is proud to bring The Lil' Laxers Experience to your area! Lil' Laxers is a co-ed lacrosse program where no equipment is required by the participants and is a great way for boys and girls who are new to the sport to learn the basics of lacrosse. The Hoosier Lacrosse coaching staff will teach the key fundamentals of lacrosse through progressive, dynamic, and fun sessions. Each co-ed session will consist of fundamental skills and exciting instructional game play in a non contact environment for grades 1 thru 5.

Who should play: Lil' Laxers is for boys and girls grades 1 thru 5 who are new to the sport or just beginning. The Lil' Laxers program teaches basic team concepts and the necessary stick fundamentals.
Why is it co-ed: This program is co-ed because at this age both boys and girls are learning the same concepts that will transfer over to the field game.
Do we need any gear? No. Hoosier Lacrosse will provide all the necessary gear for your son or daughter to participate.
Is it safe? Yes. Lil' Laxers involves no contact and we use a soft ball.
How will we teach the sport? Players will learn through progressive instruction of fundamental skills and exciting game play in a fun and safe atmosphere. Hoosier Lacrosse will implement our proven method of explanation, imitation, repetition, and Implementation.

Let Hoosier Lacrosse turn your potential into production with our Skills, Drills, & Game Situations Program for Boys. It is our goal to provide superior lacrosse instruction in a safe learning environment where athletes can develop their skills and knowledge of lacrosse. Our objective is to increase each player's skills, knowledge and confidence so they will be able to take their game to the next level. This will be accomplished through individual and small group instruction from an experienced staff of successful coaches.
Who: Boys Grades 3-8.
When: Sunday Evenings for 6 weeks - 5:00 to 6:00 pm; March 18, 25, April 1, 15, 22, 29 (no lax Easter Sunday).
Where: Indoor turf at The Twin Lakes Recreation Center 1700 W. Bloomfield Rd. Bloomington, IN 47403.

How: EXPLANATION, REPETITION, IMITATION, & IMPLEMENTATION. The Hoosier Lacrosse staff will teach the essential concepts in stick handling, dodging, shooting, offense and defense. We will then apply these concepts through fun and engaging drills and scrimmaging. Each session will include stick work, concepts and drills by position including goalie, and exciting scrimmaging. In order to play, each player will need to have a full set of lacrosse gear (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow/arm pads, gloves) mouthpiece, protective cup, and water bottle. A hockey helmet, shoulder pads, gloves and arm pads may be used as a substitute for the lacrosse gear. Hoosier Lacrosse will provide lacrosse sticks for all participants.
WHY Hockey Players Should Play Lacrosse:
* Lacrosse and hockey are very similar sports and Hockey players excel in Lacrosse.
* Hockey coaches and players only have to look at players such as Gretzky, Sakic, Shanahan, Ronning, Kariya, Nieuwendyk and Oates as these great hockey players have one thing in common...they have all played Lacrosse and have used the experience to enhance their hockey skills.
* It reinforces the importance of quickness and agility around the net.
